This meant creating a geometry that's sure to cover a broad range of positions, while still providing the performance-minded handling you'd expect from your first bike. - Not only does a lightweight bike feel better when you're climbing up a hill, but it's also essential when you're carrying your bike up to the 5th floor, and this was at the forefront of the frame design. With a redesigned E5 Alloy frame, the Allez features a class-leading weight. Aggressively thin-walled, yet tough, tubes have been implemented to save weight and this results in over a 450g (1-pound) reduction in the frame and fork alone when compared to some models of yesteryear. - This Allez also features integrated rack and fender mounts, allowing you to get weight of your backpack off you and onto a lightweight rack. In fact, we hesitate to designate either with gender specific labels because the version with the easy-access, low step-over top tube is suitable for anyone with limited hip flexibility who might be challenged to swing a leg over the rear wheel when mounting & dismounting. EASY ON THE NECK & BACK A usual complaint from new or returning riders trying to get into the cycling groove is feeling uncomfortably perched forward with too much weight on their wrists and having to crank their necks backwards just to be able to see in traffic. We specifically designed our Citizens to remedy this. The large diameter 700c wheels push handlebar height up and shorter top tubes pull handlebars closer to the saddle, all to mitigate forward lean. Our 4-inch rise handlebars sweep back at a natural hand-grasp angle with a long-quilled or angle-adjustable stem that allows for a wide range of adjustment to tune handle bar height and reach perfectly for each ride. GEARED TO GO The shifting systems on all our Citizens feature long cage rear derailleurs, full-size 48/38/28T triple-chainring cranksets (single 44t chainring for Citizen base model) and big 11-32T or 14-34T gearing in the back. This gives you the dual advantage of having fairly tall gears for controlled pedaling at speed on descents as well as really low gearing for easier pedaling uphill. ALLOY MAINFRAME We used lightweight and corrosion-resistant 6061 aluminum for the mainframe of our Taxi Trike, while many others use heavier steel frames. By utilizing aluminum tubing, we can shape the tubes to feature a low step-thru for easy access without having a gusset that hinders access. SEMI-INTEGRATED HEADSET The semi-integrated headset bearings sit inside the head tube with no external cups to expose, while the top cone features an additional rubber 5 seal to keep out the elements. CRUISER PLATFORM PEDALS WITH GRIP TAPE AND RUSTLESS BUSHINGS The wide and flat surface of our Cruiser pedals are ideal for riding in flip flops, with grip tape in the center for extra control. The bushings are a big deal for durability. The ball bearings in regular pedals oxidize and degrade FAST in a coastal environment—from salt-water contamination or from rides in inclement weather. ALLOY 3 PIECE CRANKS + SEALED CARTRIDGE BB Most tricycles use "old school" steel 1-piece cranks with caged or loose ball bottom brackets, but not our Taxi Trike! The Taxi trike uses alloy crank arms for superior corrosion resistance and a sealed cartridge bottom bracket for enhanced durability and lower maintenance. FRONT AND REAR BRAKES Trikes are heavier than traditional bicycles, and handle completely differently so stopping power is a must. Unlike many trikes on the market, the Taxi trike has both front AND rear brakes for the right amount of modulation and power. The front brake is also equipped with "parking brake" functionality for when you arrive at your destination. CHEEKS CRUISER MEMORY FOAM SADDLE Our new CHEEKS Cruiser saddle with memory foam is first in class for comfort on a trike. A wide base, thick memory foam padding, and elastomer springs make riding our Taxi Trike feel like settling into your favorite armchair. WIDE TIRES W/ REFLECTIVE SIDEWALL The Taxi Trike has 24" x 2" wide tires for better stability and impact absorption. All 3 tires have reflective stripping on the tire to improve visibility in low light situations for extra safety.

The Gestalt is for the drop bar rider that doesn’t want to stick to pavement, and can’t help but get dirty no matter the route. Long-distance commuters and all-weather riders will appreciate the fender and rack mounts and the sure-stopping disc brakes, and the larger volume tires are right at home on that unexpected detour. Series 2 or 3 Frame The Gestalt features a butted and formed Series 2 6061 aluminum frame with internal routing, disc brakes, and rack and fender eyelets. Series 3 frames add thru-axles and a tapered headtube. Beyond Road Geometry Beyond Road Geometry offers a blend of endurance road handling with enhanced stability for off pavement use. Disc Brakes Disc brakes provide smooth, controlled stopping in all conditions with minimal maintenance.
