Bring Your Own Bike: Each student will work on their own bicycle (electric and triathlon bikes are not permitted)

Bicycle Maintenance 101 – 3-Hour Hands-On Class
Whether you're new to cycling or simply want to master the art of fixing a flat on Chicago's city streets, this class offers a comprehensive overview of essential maintenance skills. If you're cruising the Lakefront or dodging potholes in the Loop, this class helps you keep your bike city-ready. You'll learn how to:

7-Hour Deep Dive
This hands-on class offers a comprehensive overview of key repair techniques—perfect for riders who want to better understand their bikes and keep them in top shape. You’ll see demonstrations, engage in discussion, and get hands-on experience with your own bike. Presentations are descriptive and practical—for example, you’ll learn what rear cogs are and how they function, though removal and installation are beyond the scope of this class. This is a great fit for Chicago riders who want to stay rolling confidently through city streets, trails, and beyond.

If Kozy’s Cyclery cancels a class, you’ll receive a full refund or a spot in a future session

Classes are led by Matt, Kozy’s head mechanic who's been with Kozy's Cyclery for over 10 years. He brings practical know-how and a knack for sharing tips that make bike care more intuitive. He's quite experienced and eager to share his knowledge!
