THE GIANT DEFY & LIV AVAIL
Defy Advanced Highlights
Ride farther and faster with an all-new composite frameset featuring endurance geometry and built-in compliance. Handcrafted with Advanced-grade composite material, it’s engineered with tube shapes that are optimized to absorb road shocks and vibrations. And the frame is still stiff in all the ways that matter—for pedaling efficiency as well as steering and cornering precision. It’s made with a specific carbon layup to give it just the right feel. And for added control, it features integrated disc brakes with flat mounts and 12mm thru-axles. The D-Fuse SL composite seatpost and Contact SL D-Fuse aluminum handlebar system also help reduce road vibrations, adding to its smooth, compliant feel on the road. The oversized and tapered OverDrive full-composite steerer tube aids cornering precision, while the PowerCore bottom bracket (dropped 5mm from the previous generation Defy to compensate for larger tires) delivers precise handling and class-leading pedaling efficiency.
RIDE IT. RACE IT. DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT: GIANT HAS GOT YOU COVERED.
Crash your new frame in the final turn of the local crit? Don’t worry about it! You’re covered. Case a landing and crack your rim? Whoa, way to charge. You’re covered. Handlebars? Same deal. Seatposts? Yep.
Giant is so confident in their composite technology, if any composite frame or component is structurally damaged while you’re riding in the first two years after you bought it, they’ll repair it or replace it FREE OF CHARGE.
There are details you need to know about our Composite Confidence support plan, but our goal is to make it as simple as possible, so you can get pedaling again.
THE LIV AVAIL
